SEM

The patent-pending SET (Supercomputing Engine Technology) enables quick, efficient and cost-effective supercomputing-style parallelization of modular code, originally designed for a sequential computer, without modifications. Moreover, with SET, writing parallel code for multi-core machines is now as simple as writing software for a single CPU!

SET, developed via collaboration between Advanced Cluster Systems and Dauger Research, Inc., enables quick and efficient adaptation of any modular sequential software to Dauger Research’s award-winning Pooch* platform, achieving full supercomputing-compatible parallelization. No modification of the sequential software source code is necessary.

Be it a single multi-core machine, a group of multi-core machines clustered together or a full-fledged supercomputer, Pooch (Parallel OperatiOn and Control Heuristic Application) converts any Multi-Core Linux or Mac OS X based CPU nodes into a high performance supercomputing framework. Both the Supercomputing Engine and Pooch are installed in seconds and are extremely easy to operate and maintain.

The first commercial application of SET is SEM (Supercomputing Engine for Mathematica**). Without any source code modification to Wolfram Research’s Mathematica, SEM brings Mathematica to true supercomputing level with unprecedented flexibility and scalability. See more details in the Products page.

Both Advanced Cluster Systems and Dauger Research continue to collaborate on new and exciting SET related products.
